    Create a color-filled water color painting, write a story, favorite poem, or a thought on black paper with gel pens, and weave the two together to form a stunning tapestry of your thoughts and emotions.     With clothed figures as the focus in a painting, students will learn how to paint people with simplicity, value, and color. Learn how to mix skin tones, paint clothing with folds and layers, and connect the subjects to their surroundings. Imagine a couple sitting on a park bench or 2 people interacting at the market. Students can bring a selection of chosen images to paint from or use instructor images provided. Instructor will demonstrate drawing and painting techniques, and take you step-by-step through the painting process.

    Charming Bicycles in Watercolors
    Design and develop a fun graphic bicycle painting in watercolor. Imagine a city bike with a basket filled with a mixed bouquet of flowers, French baguettes or whatever you choose. Explore composition, graphic positive and negative shapes, confident brushwork and color choices. Instructor will demonstrate how to paint, fine tune and finesse the painting allowing time for individual assistance and personal painting. Bring your own photos or use the instructors.     Tranquil Landscape
    Following in the footsteps of Winslow Homer, we’ll focus on composition, tonal values and brushstrokes to create a classic tranquil landscape in watercolor. Utilizing the intrinsic qualities of watercolor you’ll discover how to utilize natures warm and cool colors, lost and found edges, mixed and mingled colors to create a painting that suggests calm and reverence for the subject.     Make fine silver jewelry with an introduction to working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). This clay is amazing and the possibilities are endless! The first class will include designing projects, making textures, manipulation and joining techniques for both soft and stiff unfired PMC. The second class is for finishing projects -- drilling, filing, sanding, polishing and using a patina to enhance the texture.
